As promised, part two of my series of photographs from the 2012 Swell Sculpture Festival and there are still a few more to come.
No, the ice cream truck wasn’t a sculpture but I love the ‘retro’ appearance and who doesn’t like enjoying an ice cream by the water.
Fantastic Sam! I shouldn’t be here but I want glass initials like those. Brilliant!
Thank you, aren’t they impressive?
The initials were interesting… but who could turn down an ice cream truck? I hope you got yourself a treat!
At that time of day the initials looked like art from one angle and rubbish from another, not sure if that was the aim but certainly interesting. I would have had an ice cream but we were too early 😦
I’m putting a visit to Swell on my bucket list!
Highly recommended and it goes for about 10 days, next time I plan to go of an evening as well so I can see them all lit up 🙂
Your pictures show a wonderful variety of sculptures, and the beach is a perfect backdrop!
Thank you, I’m amazed at the variety each year, some very talented people around and the beach is a perfect space both for photographers and for walking around and through the sculptures.
I really thought the ice cream truck was a sculpture at first! It looks like something from the 50s. I love the first couple sculptures, like huge dream catchers.
I agree, it’s not often that you see that style of ice cream truck here, so cool 🙂
I particularly like the grass sculptures. 🙂
There was much to like about this exhibition 🙂
