Another hot and humid day is looming, summer is definitely making her presence felt after several years of wet summers and lower temperatures. In an effort to cool down I am thinking of colder climates and wishing I could click my heels and transport myself and the doggies to the beautiful Lucerne in Switzerland. We were in Lucerne prior to Easter in 2011, the days were lovely and mild allowing us to fully enjoy all the delights that the old town had to offer.

I am completely sick of this heat. Now I remember why I hate January so much. In 3 weeks I will be in glorious winter…can’t wait.
Summer seemed to start so much earlier this time around and now I wish it would go away, the humidity makes the days so revolting and exhausting. Wish I was going into winter in 3 weeks 😦

Honestly, sounds divine on a day like today – we’re having a weekend of high temperatures and high humidity without any rain in sight.

Temperatures are cooler her now but still alot warmer than your place, lots of storms and rain predicted for this weekend which the doggies will hate.

I can well manage without the snow, Sam, but I’ve always fancied Lucerne and your photos are so beautiful! 🙂 (we have hard frost and a threat of snow today 😦 )
Thank you. Lucerne is lovely Jo, you would enjoy it in the Spring or Summer. I would like to experience living with snow once, even if it was just a white Christmas somewhere but I can only imagine how difficult life can get when it does snow for extended periods of time.

Can you believe it is chocolate powder, I would have thought that ordering a hot chocolate in Switzerland would give you something divine but it was a mug a hot milk and a sachet of chocolate powder 🙂
