Winter morning walk

The chill of winter is here. It was a beautiful morning for a walk by the lake.

Thank you. I love mornings like this one. The weather has been so mild here we were beginning to wonder if the cooler weather was going to show up 🙂

I love winter in SE Queensland. We arrived home from Italy today to enjoy winter in Brisbane. Your photos show precisely why I love it here in the cooler weather.

It is so mild in comparison to most of Europe making it easy to enjoy the outdoors. Although I hate getting out of bed when it is cold I do love the crisp, clear skies that come with winter.

No snow where you live very pretty

Definitely no snow, the closest we came to snow was a hail storm at the end of Spring 🙂

A refreshing blast and beautiful photos from the other side of the world. Enjoy the chill!

Thank you and yes, I’m enjoying the chill as it makes it so easy to sleep at night.

I’m a little bit jealous, but not wishing summer away just yet!

Our summer seemed to last forever, and as nice as the warmer weather is, I was looking forward to lower temperatures and I love the changing colours in gardens 🙂

Lovely images, Sam! I really don’t want to think Autumn because we still seem to be waiting for Summer but I love your leaves. 🙂

Thank you Jo. Autumn and Spring here are my favourite seasons 🙂

So Many colors, such a variety of birds and nice crisp images. That’s what I thought Hawaii would be like. Unfortunately not.

You don’t see a variety of birds anymore here in the islands thanks to all the foreign ships that once came to the islands and brought disease and animals that took over.

We have a different kind of beauty though and if they would quit building hotels and houses we just may be able to enjoy it for another generation.

I would have though Hawaii would have lots of different birds too, sad that you don’t – so many environments changed for the worse when ‘discovered’. Hawaii is beautiful (from memory and your blog), our part of Queensland suffers the same fondness for hotels and highrise buildings. I am thankful that we still have green around us, not sure how long it will stay that way as the population in our area grows.

It’s always so hard for me to understand that it’s not summer everywhere on the planet right now. Thanks for straightening me out! Your photographs are lovely.

Beautiful photos. Winter here is pretty perfect

    • twoblackdoggies June 24, 2015 / 1:42 pm

Thanks Lyn. Spending winter here is pretty good, my Mum always said she wanted to spend winters here and summers in NZ, best of both worlds 🙂

      • Lyn June 24, 2015 / 5:39 pm

I can understand your Mum’s logic

So true, I do enjoy the cooler seasons and they don’t really last that long here.
